X Diwali on Naxal front: ITBP soldiers celebrated the festival with villagers Mohla-Manpur. This time the festival of Diwali brought the message of joy and unity in the remote villages of the Naxal-affected Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki district of Chhattisgarh. Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel celebrated this festival along with the villagers of very hypersensitive and remote areas like Amkhodo, Sambalpur, Domikalan along the Gadchiroli border of Maharashtra. ITBP soldiers deployed on the Naxal front spread happiness on Diwali this time by carrying out the responsibility of security. The soldiers came out of the camps and distributed sweets to the local villagers and burst with them. It was the first time that the villagers of these areas celebrated this festival of lights with such enthusiasm and joy along with the soldiers. ITBP personnel, who are deployed to maintain peace and security in this Naxal-infested area, have further strengthened their bond with the villagers through this initiative. This collective participation of Diwali proved that the darkness of Naxalism can be dispelled with the light of development and faith. This initiative of the soldiers increased the trust and affinity towards the security forces in the minds of the local people. (Reporting by Rakesh Yadav)
