Double murder in Nabi Karim area of Delhi, wife and lover killed, husband injured
New Delhi, October 19 (IANS). An incident of double murder came to light in the Nabi Karim police station area of the national capital Delhi on Saturday evening. It is said that this whole incident took place because of a love dispute, in which a woman and a young man died, while the woman’s husband was seriously injured. This incident took place on October 18 at around 22:15 in Qutub Road, Nabi Karim area. The deceased have been identified as Ashu alias Shailendra (34), son Bobby, resident of A-34, Amarpuri, Nabi Karim and Shalini (22), wife Akash, resident of Bagichi Pratap Nagar, Delhi. The injured person has been described as Akash (23), son of Puran, resident of Bagichi Pratap Nagar, Delhi. According to the police, Akash along with his wife Shalini reached Qutub Road, Nabi Karim at around 10.15 pm on Saturday evening to meet his mother-in-law Sheela. Meanwhile, Ashu suddenly stabbed Shalini multiple times while sitting in the e-rickshaw. When Akash saw his wife being attacked, he ran to save her and a fight broke out. Ashu also stabbed Akash but Akash controlled himself and grabbed Ashu and attacked him with the same knife. Immediately after the incident, Shalini’s brother Rohit took both (Akash and Shalini) to the LHMC hospital, while the police admitted Ashu to the same hospital. After examination, doctors declared both Ashu and Shalini dead and Akash underwent treatment. Investigation revealed that Shalini and Akash were married. Both of them have two children and Shalini was also pregnant. However, Shalini had a dispute with her husband some time ago and was living in a live-in relationship with Ashu. Soon she started living with Akash again, which angered Ashu. According to police sources, Ashu claims that he is the father of the child growing in Shalini’s womb, this was the reason for the dispute between the two men. The police also said that Ashu was notorious in the Nabi Karim police station area, while Akash also registered three criminal cases against him.
