Draupadi Murmu will visit Kerala from October 21 to 24 and participate in many important programs.

New Delhi, October 20 (IANS). President of India Draupadi Murmu will be on Kerala tour from October 21 to 24. This visit of the President will be full of religious, cultural and educational activities. The President will reach Kerala’s capital Thiruvananthapuram on the evening of October 21. After this, she will perform darshan and aarti at the famous Sabarimala temple on October 22. This special visit of the President to the Sabarimala Temple is considered an important religious event for the entire state. The next day, on October 23, President Murmu will unveil the statue of former President of India KR Narayanan at the Raj Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram. This program is seen as a tribute to the contribution of KR Narayanan. On the same day, the President will also inaugurate the Mahasamadhi centenary celebrations organized at Shivagiri Math in Varkala. The event is held in memory of the great social reformer Narayana Guru, who promoted social unity, education and spiritual awareness. Afterwards, the President will host the Platinum Jubilee valedictory function of St. Thomas College, Palai, Hon. It is a celebration of 75 years of glorious journey and academic contribution of the college, in which the presence of the President assumes special significance. On October 24, the President will celebrate the centenary (completion of 100 years) of St. Teresa’s College, Ernakulam as the chief guest. This college is considered as a leading institution in the field of women education and empowerment in the state. During this time, preparations for welcoming the president and programs are finalized by the state government and local administration.
