During this time, they got information that Sundar and Umed, residents of Alawalpur village Palwal, were selling illegal ganja. Both of them will come to Palwal in their white colored Scorpio with a large quantity of ganja from Kosikalan (Uttar Pradesh). Considering the information to be solid, ASI Laxman Singh immediately informed his fellow employees and set up a blockade at the toll plaza Karman border. After some time the police saw the white Scorpion coming as mentioned by Kosikalan. The driver tried to flee the car after seeing the police, but the team controlled him. Sundar sat on the driver’s seat and Umed sat on the conductor’s seat. The police searched the accused and the car. Cash worth Rs 12 thousand was found in the pockets of the accused. When the car was searched, four white plastic bags were found in the trunk and one bag behind the operator’s seat. When these five bags were opened and examined, they were found to be filled with bundles of ganja wrapped in khaki tape and green polythene. The total weight of ganja kept in all the five bags registered under the NDPS Act was 109 kg 856 grams. After this, the police arrested both the drug smugglers and took the ganja along with the car into their custody. A case has been registered against the accused under NDPS sections in Hodal police station. According to the District Superintendent of Police, no old criminal record of the accused has been found so far in the investigation. The accused brought the consignment of ganja from Odisha and was selling it in nearby districts including Palwal. The accused will be taken into custody and questioned, so that the entire network can be exposed.
