Dry eye and mouth
Welcome to our guide for continuous and long -term dehydration of the eye and/or mouth, a condition called “Sicca syndrome”. The name comes from the Latin word “siccus”, which means “dry”. Symptoms of dry eye can occur due to wind blowing along the eye or a dry air environment (such as: heating in the home), exposure to smoking or dirt. Dehydration can be a complication of other eye diseases, such as: Eye -eyelid diseases and an eye of the eye (just as it happens with increased thyroid activity). The temporary dehydration of the mouth can be accompanied by nervousness, anxiety and breathing through the mouth (as many people do during sleep). Also a lot of medication can dry the mouth. This guide covers the most common causes of dry eyes and dry mouth. Although these symptoms are more frequent in older people, it is not inevitable, while the production of tears decreasing, the symptoms usually relate to aging.
