Take-it-Back Movement Confedion Attempt to cover sex-for-mark scandal to Lagos Government School

According to Tib, he issued the movement with credible evidence and not just the sexual offenses by Mr. Egberongbe outlined, but also exposed the school’s deliberate efforts to protect the perpetrator. The Take-It-Back (TIB) movement warned against an orchestrated attempt by the management of Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Secondary School, Ojodu-Berger, Lagos State, to cover a damning sex-for-mark scandal in which a further math teacher, Mr. Egberongbe Adegbenga Toheeb, is involved. In a press release obtained by Saharan Porters on Friday, the movement condemned the efforts of the school authorities and some elements within the Lagos State Ministry of Education to suppress the truth and Clement James Oyaohanoghena, the whistle blower who was abusing at least 11 female students by Mr. “The attention of the Take IT Back (TIB) movement is drawn to the case of a sex-for-mark scandal that shook Babs Fafunwa Millennium Senior Secondary School in Ojodu-Berger, Lagos State, with the management of the school who actively tried to cover the abuse of at least 11 girls by a further math teacher, The National Youth Service Corps (Nysc) and former school student were of great importance to bring the scandal to light. Court has been granted for a case of child molestation, sexually harassing teenagers. Tib did not hamper words in his criticism of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, and warned that the attempt not to intimidate James would not go unanswered. The ministry summoned the whistleblower to appear before his Office of Education Quality Assurance on Monday, April 7, 2025. “We will not allow the school and the Ministry of Education to intimidate Mr. Clement. Tib emphasized that any attempt to protect Egberongbe or suppress the truth would be regarded as complicity in a criminal act. “Any individual who tries to cover crime is an accomplice and not a lover of justice,” says Audest Adeyemi Taofeek, commonly known as Scotty Aluta, the Lagos Tib coordinator. As previously reported by Saharan Porters, the sex-for-mark scandal broke out after several female students with shocking stories emerged about how Egberongbe manipulated them in sexual relationships under the guise of academic assistance. One victim tells how the teacher attracted her to a hotel near Alagbon bus stop, while another describes how he tried to assault her in a classroom with his belt. Despite the weight of the allegations, the school allegedly turned against James instead of protecting the victims. On March 24, 2025, James was allegedly attracted to the school, ambushed by teachers and seized his phone in an attempt to remove incriminating evidence. He was allegedly closed in a toilet in the principal’s office until officials of the Department of Quality Assurance arrived unexpectedly. Several sources confirmed that Egberongbe was not a teacher in government, but that the principal, Mrs. Osunrinde, has been rented privately, which has since refused to respond to Saharara Porters’ inquiries. The Vice Principal, Mrs. Lungs, also refused to comment and say, “The case is in court, and I will not comment on it.” Police spokesman Benjamin Hundeyin also refused to talk about the issue and stated that the discussion of the case would be “harmed”. Although Egberongbe was eventually arrested and handed over to the Lagos Agency for Home and Sexual Violence, the low bail amount and the silence of the school administration further fueled the suspicion of a systemic cover.
