Ed-action in technical support scam, attack in many countries, including Delhi-Mumbai
New -delhi, October 7 (IANS). The Directorate for Enforcement (ED) took major steps in the Tech Support scam on Tuesday. The Central Investigation Agency has robbed 15 places in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Haryana and Mumbai. The investigation under the PMLA was initiated by Delhi police on the basis of several firs filed against Karan Verma and others. Investigations revealed that the fraudsters were running several illegal call centers in Rohini, Paschim Vihar and Rajouri Gardens in Delhi, where they had earlier cheated on foreign citizens of America, and themselves Charles Schwab Financial Services, Microsoft, Apple and police, customer support officers. A functioning used in it was BSOD (blue screen of death or usually known as Blue Screen earr). The BSOD customer’s device consists of deadly errors or system errors. These people use misleading pop-ups that look like real Windows Blue screen. The pop-up window instructs the victim to dial a phone number to solve the false problem. The victim then gets caught up in the trap of false technical help and loses his heavy learned money. The cash of the victims was transformed into cryptocurrency, gift cards, etc., which was later transferred by Hawala to fraudsters and their companions in the country. The investigation into the case shows that the crypto wallet used by the fraudsters has carried out millions of US dollars. Another illegal call center in Delhi was also detected during the search operation. The Ed searched him under the PMLA.
