Ed -action in the north -eastern border track, assets worth 1.05 crores attached

Guwahati, September 24 (IANS). The Directorate Enforcement (ED), Guwahati Regional Office, took action against the then senior section (accounts) Sanjay Chakraborty and two others from the Northeastern Frontier Railway in the case of funds. The ED temporarily attached movable assets worth Rs 1.05 crore in terms of the Money Was Prevention Act (PMLA), 2002. This action was taken in the case related to the eclipse of the Rs 5.13 Crore. The ED investigation is based on a fir submitted by CBI, ACB, Guwahati, in which allegations against Sanjay Chakraborty and others were made under the Indian Criminal Code, 1860 and the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018. He changed the bank accounts of real beneficiaries and transferred Rs 5.13 crore to two firms intimate and RC computer solution accounts through 24 false accounts. The firm was in the name of his wife and daughter and a Zodiac sign was also inserted into his private accounts. The 1.43 Crore calls received from this crime were transferred by Sanjay Chakraborty, along with the then senior division manager, his family and family members. This amount is deposited in different bank accounts and used in movable property, insurance policies, household goods and private expenses. So far in this case, the ED has attached a total assets worth Rs 3.47 crore, including the attachment of Rs 2.42 crore earlier.
