ED has a great deal in illegal case on foundation, raids in Goa and Hyderabad

Panaji, September 10 (IANS). The Panaji Zonal Office of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a total of 13 residential and commercial properties in Goa and Hyderabad on September 9 and 10. The attacks were carried out against Yashwant Sawant and others, accused of the case associated with the illegal occupation of the communicated land in Goa. The action was done under the Prevention of Money Waundering (PMLA), 2002. The investigation was started on the basis of the FIR filed by Goa police, in which he claimed that the illegal acquisition of the land of Anjuna was communicated under different divisions. The ED investigation revealed that the accused had received more than 3,50,000 square meters of land in the most important areas of Goa, such as Anjuna and Assagaon, in false documents. These documents were submitted to the relevant authorities so that the process of mutation could be easily completed. The investigation also revealed that this accused had recovered the revenue of crime in the form of black money by selling this illegally occupied properties to different persons. Black money worth various crore calls was collected from this business. The total market value of illegally inhabited assets by the accused is estimated to be more than Rs 1.200 crore. During the search operation, about Rs 72 Lakh cash was seized. In addition, 7 high vehicles such as Porsche Cayman, BMW 650L, Range Rover, Mercedes Benz, BMW M5, Audi A-6, etc. In addition, bank accounts and fixed deposits of the accused also frozen. Various evidence and documents associated with these properties and transactions have also been recovered. This action is still underway and the names of many more people related to illegal land occupation are expected to be revealed in Goa.
