Former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa dies, the last breath took place at the age of 89
Chandigarh, May 28 (IANS). Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (Takasali) and former Union Minister Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa died on Wednesday. 89 -year -old Dhindsa has been ill for a long time and has gone away from political activities. His death raged a wave of mourning in Punjab politics. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa’s political life was full of dedication and simplicity. He had been associated with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for a long time and was counted among the senior leaders of the senior parties. He also gained the role of patron in the party. However, due to differences, he was suspended from the Shiromani Akali Dal last year on charges of anti -party activities. He then added ties with the Shiromani Akali Dal (Takasali) and again tried to be active on the political stage. Over the past few years, Dhindsa’s health has been constantly deteriorating. He suffered from many illnesses, which is why he also distanced from public life. He breathed his last on Wednesday. Dhindsa won his first election in Dhanaula in 1972. He was then elected from Sunam in 1985, Sangrur in 1980 and Sunam again in 1985. Many political leaders expressed deeply condolences to his death. Former Punjab Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, while paying tribute, said: ‘I am very sad about the news of the death of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa Ji. He was a worthy, honest and dedicated leader who always served Punjab with loyalty to Punjab. My deep condolences to his family and supporters. Waheguru gives peace to his soul. ‘ With the death of Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, Punjab lost a leader dedicated to an experienced and public service.
