Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday investigated the tunnel that connects the Bihar Museum and Patna Museum and instructed officials to ensure that the work is effective and as soon as possible. The chief minister emphasized the quality and ease, saying that there should be accessible traffic facilities for pedestrians and electric vehicles in the tunnel. Kumar reviewed the website near the Bihar Museum, saying that the tunnel would increase the movement of tourists between two major museums, which will experience visitors better. He said: “The Bihar Museum has been developed according to the International Standard and attracts a large number of tourists. The number of tourists will increase significantly by joining the Patna Museum through the tunnel.” He also emphasized the need for adequate parking and tourist facilities. Director of General of the Bihar Museum Anjani Kumar Singh informed the Chief Minister of various facilities employed, including access points, parking and visitor services in the tunnel. Officials said the length of the tunnel built 15 meters underground would be 1.5 km and the width would be 8 meters. The main minister also investigated the continued expansion and excitement work in the Patna Museum. He carefully reviewed the construction of new divisions, including Auditorium, Collection Storage and Ganga Gallery,. With the appreciation of the full parts, Kumar insists that the remaining works should be completed as soon as possible and a high standard. He said: “The Patna Museum is home to very important archaeological and historical artifacts and its detail will ensure better protection and performance.” The Chief Minister was accompanied by general secretary Deepak Kumar, general secretary Dr Siddharth, Secretary Anupam Kumar, secretary of urban development and housing division Abhay Kumar Singh, the special officer Gopal Singh, Museum and archaeological director Rachna Patil, District Landsdros Dr. Chandrasakhar Singh, senior superintenent of the police holiday Kumar and other senior officials.
