Patna, June 24 (IANS). A special seminar was organized in the Patna Meeting Auditorium on Tuesday on the topic ‘Emergency: Black Chapter of Democracy after completing 50 years of the need imposed by the country. In the program, Bihar Deputy Head Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha remembered the emergency of the distress and described it as the greatest shock to Indian democracy. In a special conversation with the IANS news agency after the program, the Deputy CM Vijay Kumar Sinha said we were little children during the emergency, but can never forget what you saw in the atmosphere of family and society. How democracy was killed, people’s voices were suppressed, the law was inflated and dictatorship was imposed. At the time, even small children shouted slogans on the street. It was the public of that time. He attacked the congress, saying that the same congress, which is guilty of emergencies, today makes Jayaprakash Narayan’s disciples his own to come to power again and that he as the hero of corrupt people is coming up. Parties such as Congress and RJD changed Bihar from Jungle Raj to Gundaraj. These people enter different parties by changing their face today, but does not change their ‘nature’ and ‘signature’. He warned that Bihar’s people and countrymen should be vigilant with people who strangled democracy, promoted bihar tar and corruption. The Deputy CM said it is our responsibility to make the coming generations aware of how democracy was killed. The emergency was not only a period, but it was a planned attack on our constitutional values. -Ians psk/abm shares this story tags
