Jakarta – The perpetrator of the attack accompanied by gunfire at the coffee shop on Jalan Jati Baru, Kampung Bali, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, some time ago, has finally been arrested. Not only that, the perpetrators also committed theft. This action was caught on CCTV cameras and went viral on social media. The offender had the initials MF and was arrested on Monday (13/10/2025). “The offender with the initials MF was arrested on 13 October 2025 at a house in Penjaringan, North Jakarta,” Head of Sub-Directorate for Resmob Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Resa Fiardy Marasabessy told journalists on Friday (17/10/2025). He said the offender was also charged in terms of section 365 of the Penal Code for theft with violence. The offender faces a criminal sentence of 12 years in prison. Seconds of the incident: The warkop attack involved a number of people. The brutal attack recorded on CCTV went viral on social media. “This group of people suddenly came to the coffee shop and immediately attacked visitors and the owner of the coffee shop,” Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro said on Thursday (9/10/2025). The attack happened at around 00.30 WIB on Wednesday (8/10) at a coffee shop on Jalan Jati Baru, Kampung Bali, Tanah Abang. In the CCTV footage in the coffee shop, patrons can be seen trying to stop the group of attackers from coming. The woman was seen standing in front of the coffee shop looking at the road while moving her hands as if she was running away or preventing other parties from coming to the coffee shop. In the warkop there were also little boys and girls. Suddenly, however, a number of men came running towards the warhead to attack. The first man, wearing a hoodie, was seen waving what he thought was a prayer knife. Then a man with a black mask came and raised his hand and opened fire on a number of people in the coffee shop. During the chaos and panic, a man wearing a hoodie was seen taking several items and money from the coffee shop table. “There was a criminal act of theft by force committed by the alleged perpetrator of approximately 15 motorcycles,” he said. IDR 2 million was stolen. The offender came armed with a sharp weapon (sajam) and an air rifle. Two people were injured as a result of this attack. “There was a criminal act of robbery with violence committed by the alleged perpetrator on about 15 motorcycles carrying a knife and an air rifle,” Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said Thursday (9/10/2025). The mob suddenly came to the coffee shop. They then attacked a number of people in the coffee shop. “This group of people suddenly came to the coffee shop and immediately attacked the visitors and the owner of the coffee shop,” he said. The offender then stole the money from the warhead.
