New polypropylene plant will promote employment and economic development in Assam: Hardep Puri
Guwahati, September 14 (IANS). Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardep Singh Puri said on Sunday that the 360 ktpa capacity polypropylene plant that was inaugurated by Premier Narendra Modi at Numaligarh refinery will be an important link in the country’s petrochemical field. In addition, the plant will also create jobs and promote the overall socio-economic development of the region. The minister said this polypropylene unit, which is built at a cost of Rs 7.231 crore, will serve as a strong soil for the development of the petrochemical sector in India. Petrochemicals play an important role in producing various objects, including glucose bottles, medical sprays, plastic pipes and cars of the car. He said that this plant, which formed the future of Northeast India, will give a new direction in the future of India. The prime minister announced on Sunday that projects worth about 18,000 crore were assigned to Assam. He said he was in Darang earlier in the day, where he laid the groundstone for connectivity and health projects. He further said that he inaugurated and laid the groundstone of projects associated with energy security, which will further strengthen and further strengthen the development of Assam. The prime minister said that Assam is a soil that strengthens the energy capabilities of India, that petroleum products derived from Assam make an important contribution to the development of the country. He emphasized that these projects will promote industrial development in Assam, speed up the development of the state and create new opportunities for farmers and youth. He congratulated the people of the state on these initiatives. The Prime Minister said that India has been dependent on its energy needs for some time for foreign resources and that he has imported a large amount of crude oil and gas. As a result, the country has to pay millions of rupees annually to other countries. It increases employment and income abroad.
