The center has asked all states and trade union areas to identify approximately 16,000 foreign citizens living in the country, even after the end of the visa period. Official sources provided this information on Tuesday. According to sources, most of these foreign citizens of Africa countries are involved in other crimes, including drug trafficking. The country’s federal drug -prevailing agency Swap Control Bureau (NCB) sent a letter to the states and trade union areas asking him to find out such people and act under the amended foreign law against them. This law controls the immigration, entry and migration of foreigners in India. Officials said it was found that many such foreign is involved in the smuggling of drugs, some of whom are also ordinary criminals. He said that the visa duration of these people was also found, but that they are still in the country and that many of them are involved in crimes related to drug trafficking. According to NCB’s report in 2024, several agencies in the country arrested a total of 660 foreigners allegedly involved in drug -related crimes. The report said that 203 of these citizens of Nepal, 106 from Nigeria, 25 of Myanmar, 18 from Bangladesh, 14 from Ivory Coast and 13 from Ghana. According to the report, there were more than 200 people whose nationality could not be identified.
