Statistics show how serious a problem heart disease has become in Rajsamand district. According to information received from RK Hospital Administration, 21,964 patients were admitted to the IPD of the hospital in 2024. Of these, heart disease was detected in 732 patients. This is approximately 1.3 percent of the total admitted patients. The biggest matter of concern is that in 2024, out of 1,527 ICU patients of the hospital, 469 patients had heart diseases. This means that every third ICU patient suffered from heart disease. It clearly shows that heart disease has now emerged as a serious threat. Increasing danger to the youth: Not only in Rajasthan but in the entire state, youth in the age group of 25 to 40 years are suddenly becoming victims of heart attacks. This is the age when people are most active in family and professional responsibilities, but suddenly cardiac arrest or blockage dominates life. Experts say that the tendency of thrombosis (blood clots) and blood clotting has increased rapidly among the youth. After the Covid-19 pandemic, cases of heart attack and stroke have also increased.
