Foreign Ministry has issued advice for Indians regarding visit to Iran
New -Delhi, September 19 (IANS). The Government of India consulted on Indian citizens on Friday regarding visit to Iran. This advice was issued in connection with the incident of kidnapping criminal gangs by calling Indians to Iran. After the abduction, a ransom was sought by criminal gangs. The Foreign Ministry said that there were recently many cases in which Indian citizens were attracted to visit Iran by making false promises of employment or visiting Iran that they would be sent to third countries for service. After reaching Iran, these Indian citizens were abducted by criminal gangs and Ransom was demanded from their families for their release. The advice of the Foreign Ministry also states that all Indian citizens in this context receive strict warnings to take strict vigilance regarding such promises or proposals. It is especially noteworthy that the Iranian government allows Indians to be only a visa -free entry for tourism goals. He called on Indian citizens to be careful before accepting such false employment proposals. The Foreign Ministry further said that any agent who promised visa -free admission in Iran for employment or other purposes could clash with criminal gangs, and therefore Indian citizens are advised not to fall victim to such proposals. -Ians DKP/ Share these Story Tags
