Mohan Yadav, today reached the Newton Chikhli Municipal Council and the Journal of the Parasia magazine of the Chhindwara district, where he met the families of the children who died in the cough syrup and shared their grief. Cough syrup became fatal for 16 children in Chhindwara and betul of Madhya Pradesh. Some children are still admitted to hospitals. The chief minister has deeply compassionate and said: “The untimely death of children is a deep sadness for all of us. It will be acted to come under the entire episode, so that such an incident does not happen again.” The chief minister spent time with the family members, listened to them and gave them assurance that no guilty would be spared. He said the government stands with the people, and that no one’s negligence will come to the expense of innocent lives. The investigation is ongoing and the culprits are nailed.
