Executive Engineer has arrested bribes in Ranchi, 17 Lakh cash recovered from housing

Ranchi, June 5 (IANS). The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Jharkhand on Thursday arrested the executive engineer of the Department of Rural Development, Sunoth Soren, and took bribes. After the arrest, it was reported that several documents, including cash, observed, had valued jewelry in the raids done at his home. It was told that after completing the work in a scheme of the department, the contractor constantly converted the office to the bill. Executive engineers sought bribes in the name of the release of the bill. The complaint was filed with the ACB. After receiving the complaint, the ACB confirmed the case. The matter to ask for bribes was correct, after which they were planned to capture them. According to the plan, the contractor reached the office of the Executive Engineer on Thursday and gave him 60 thousand rupees as the first payment of bribes, the ACB team arrested the engineer on the spot. After this, the investigative agency team took the executive engineer and reached their residential premises. During the search for each corner of the house, Rs 17 Lakh cash has so far been restored. In addition, large quantities of jewelry and documents were also recovered. The engineer will be sent to judicial custody after being produced in court on Friday. If necessary, the investigative agency may take them with correction. The anti -corruption bureau and CBI of Jharkhand have arrested more than 12 government officials and employees in bribery and corruption cases over the past one month. On May 5 in Ranchi, computer operator Bindesh Tirkey, delegated from the outsourcing of the district mining office, was arrested with a bribe of two thousand rupees.
