Fadli Zon calls the Body Museum in Jatim Park Future Cultural Laboratory
Jakarta – Fadli Zon, Minister of Culture, visited the Body Museum in East Java Park 1, Batu City, East Java (East Java). In his remarks, he mentions the Body Museum as a ‘Future Cultural Laboratory’, which offers not only scientific education, but also forms a new awareness of the human body as part of the cultural heritage of the country. “Usually we learn about the human body of textbooks or photos. But here the way of narrative is made so lively and attractive. From head to foot, visitors are invited to understand the body’s anatomy visually, narrative, even emotionally,” Fadli said in a written statement on Sunday (4/20/2025). It is known, the Body Museum of ‘The Bagong Adventure Human Body Museum’ offers the organs of the human body as a whole and complete, ranging from the heart, liver, lungs, to the nervous system with an interactive, educational and pleasant approach. The latest data shows that the Body Museum attracts an average of 10,000 visitors a day. This figure is considered the public that is increasingly thirsty for the form of quality educational tourism. He hopes that a similar concept can be an inspiration to other museums in Indonesia. “The Louvre Museum in Paris can make people in line for two hours to enter. Why can’t we wake up the same pride? Museum is no longer a quiet and dusty place. With this innovation, the museum becomes a living space that forms new insights and awareness,” he added. He also appreciated the steps of the Batu City Government, which he said, succeeded in combining elements of culture, education and tourism in one region. Supporting facilities such as gift shops, coffee shops, restaurants also make this museum friendly for family and all ages. “I thank the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Batu. This is an example of an ideal synergy that must be mimicked by other regions: how a museum can be the center of cultural activities as well as appropriate tourist destinations,” he said.
