Fallen tree hits 3 houses and damages Posyandu in Bogor

Jakarta – One tree fell in Cimandala Village, Sukaraja District, Bogor, West Java. As a result, a number of residents’ houses and a Posyandu were damaged by the tree. Head of the Bogor Regency BPBD Emergency and Logistics Division, M Adam Hamdani, said the tree fell due to heavy rain accompanied by strong wind. Fallen trees also blocked road access. “Due to heavy rain accompanied by strong winds in the Cimandala area, one tree fell covering the road access and the roof of the Posyandu building and several houses were damaged,” said Adam on Tuesday (21/10/2025). He said three houses sustained minor damage from fallen trees. “It is estimated that the results of the rapid assessment are that three residential units were slightly damaged and Posyandu Asri suffered moderate damage,” he said. Residents reported the incident to BPBD officers. Officers received reports from residents and immediately went to the scene to administer treatment. “The handling time was about 120 minutes, there were no deaths,” he explained. Posyandu itself sustained damage to the front roof and central room. So that the assets are temporarily moved to a safer place. “Currently, the Posyandu affected by the damage can no longer be used by local residents because the roof is damaged. The fallen trees have been successfully cleared, residents’ public road access can now be passed by two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles,” he concluded. (rdh/moa)
