The court asked the reason not to take the woman home from the hospital, but Calcutta High Court Judge Amrita Sinha asked the man why he didn’t take his wife home. The man said he was the owner of a shop and did not have the means to care for his disabled wife. The Private Hospital lawyer said the hospital had treated the woman, did several surgeries and that the assurance of six lakh calls had finished long ago. The lawyer said the current fees are one crore calls. The hospital lawyer said the man started an alternative family. However, Justice Sinha did not interfere with family matters. The state attorney said the state has shelter houses with free services. But the employees of the state shelter house do not have the expertise to care for the sick patients. Nyayayayamurthy Sinha instructed the Advocate General to appear in the case on April 9, notify them whether the state has any rules for such people and to represent any solution. The court also ordered the man to be present in court that day. It was admitted to hospital in September 2021, according to sources, a 40 -year -old woman was hospitalized in September 2021 for head injury. He underwent several surgery, including a life -saving neurosurgery. She survived, but due to an injury she became stable and she had to do migratory costs. Despite her stable condition, her husband Jayaprakash Gupta refused to take her home. When Gupta received no response, even after reminding him several times, the hospital contacted the Western Bengal’s Clinical Establishment Commission in May last year. After Gupta did not attend the health panel trial, Justice (retired) Ashim Kumar Banerjee told Apollo that it was a suitable case to go to the courts. The patient is currently kept in a normal bed in the neurosurgery section of the hospital and the nurses in turn take care of him.
