Brics is a group of 11 major emerging economies in the world, including about 49.5 percent of the world population, about 40 percent of GDP and about 26 percent of global trade. Brics originally includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. This expanded it in 2024 to include Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, and Indonesia will join in 2025.
