The flow of water is disrupted due to intrusion into the channel and pan. It was told that this pan was built along the PWD road about 60 years ago, which provided irrigation facilities to hundreds of farmers of the town. The farmers of this area were prosperous during the existence of the canal and the PAN. But due to violations and government negligence in the last few years, this system has completely collapsed. Now labor is the only support, not farming. As a result of continuous waterlogging, the fertility of the lands is waning and the land has become marshy. It is impossible to sow paddy, wheat or vegetables. In such a situation, farmers are now forced to leave farming and work as laborers and many families also migrate in search of work. Appealed to the administration, no solution was found. Villagers say that in the past five years, applications have been made several times from CO to DM, but no concrete action has been taken until now. In this matter, Asthawan CO Ravindra Kumar said that the problem of water logging has been taken into consideration. A solution will be found soon after investigation.
