Pune, September 29 (IANS). The flood situation in Maharashtra has increased the problems of farmers. Amol Kolhe, MP of the NCP (SP), demanded immediately and concrete relief from the central government for farmers. He said farmers suffered heavy losses as a result of flooding and expecting effective help from the center. Relief should not be delayed and farmers should get help as soon as possible so that they can bring their lives and farm back on track. Kolhe further said that Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked for help for the flood affected. We hope that the central government will take concrete steps for the farmers of Maharashtra. The importance of farmers is the basis of the country’s economy and cannot be ignored. The central and state governments will make concrete plans to deal with this crisis. With the example of Punjab, he said that the affected flood received help of Rs 50,000 per hectare, while farmers in Maharashtra received only Rs 3,500 as the first installment, which is extremely insufficient. I demand that the central government increase this amount and announce an effective relief package. MP Amol Kolhe said flooding in many districts of Maharashtra caused great damage to crops, causing the existence of farmers. I call on the central and state government to jointly strengthen assistance work and provide seeds, fertilizers and financial aid to the farmers. Parts affected by flood must restore infrastructure and provide long -term solutions to farmers. In addition, Amol Kolhe praised the Indian cricket team’s decision not to take the Mohsin Naqvi trophy after winning the Asia Cup-2025 title. He said that this decision reflects the spirit of the players. The players took this step due to the involvement of the Pahalgam attack on those who give the trophy, which is commendable. I admire this adventure and moral decision of Indian players. It not only increases its respect, but is also a proud moment for the country. “-Ians Akks/As Share This Story Tags
