Father-son dies after coming into contact with bicycle electric wire
A tragic incident occurred on Monday morning in the Jharkhand Palamu district, when a motorcycle was hit by an electric wire with high tension and killed a 45-year-old man and his 12-year-old son. Police confirmed that the incident had occurred in the Khargara village of the Haider Nagar police station. According to the Hyswagar police station in Afzal Ansari, victim Bindu Mehta and his son Vipin Mehta diesel brought along for the generator used during a family wedding when his motorcycle collided with a wire of 11,000 volts. The high tension wire was broken and laid on the road, which eventually fell into a nearby channel. Both father and son were very scorched due to electric shock and died on the spot. His motorcycle was also completely destroyed due to electric shock. The sad thing is that this incident occurred a few hours before the marriage of Bindu Mehta’s cousin, which turned the moment of celebration into deep weeds. Local residents expressed anger and sadness and held the negligence of the electricity department responsible for the incident. He claimed that the wire department by the electricity department was not healed in time, while it was a major threat. Shortly after the incident, family members and villagers reached the place.
