Fed up with daily fights, wife commits suicide, family members make serious allegations against in-laws

A tragic incident in Dhelana village of Selaguda Gram Panchayat of Amethi district of Rajasthan has shocked the villagers. Last night, Paras, wife of Ramesh Bheel (about 28 years old), allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself. After the incident, the deceased’s family members made serious allegations against her in-laws that Paras was mentally disturbed due to constant torture and beatings by her husband Ramesh Bhil and other in-laws. Family members say that this stress and harassment forced the woman to commit suicide. Police station officer Om Singh Chundawat said that after receiving the information, the police arrested the body of the deceased and sent it to the hospital for postmortem. His brother Umashankar Bhil lodged an FIR on behalf of his maternal uncle’s family. Umashankar said that he received a call from his younger brother Malaram at around 7:00 pm on Monday night, who told him that his sister Paras had hanged himself. When he reached Dhelana, he saw that Paras was lying on the floor of the room and the door was closed. The police opened the door and arrested the body. The family claims that Paras was harassed and beaten daily by her husband Ramesh Bhil, father-in-law Khaman Bhil, mother-in-law Kamli Bai and sister-in-law Meena.
