New -Delhi, May 11 (IANS). Former United Nations Secretary General Laxmi M Puri has criticized the loan given to Pakistan by the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Laxmi Puri expressed sadness in a note written on the social media platform X, saying that Pakistan made the IMF in a credit line for chaos from 1958 to date. It will not be used for reforms or development, but to finance terrorist networks, to save global refugees and support the army that arises on instability. Asked questions, he said that Pakistan violated every condition for democracy and the IMF program and that bail package used to promote bloodshed. Yet the world is still giving checks to the terrorist country, why? Laxmi Puri further said that Pakistan has borrowed 28 times since 1950. It is not financial aid, but it is geopolitical charity and strategic abuse of international goodwill. India kept itself away from voting during a meeting to give a new $ 1.3 billion IMF loan to Pakistan as part of the Receiving and Sustainability (RSF) loan program. At this meeting, Pakistan was approved for loan. In the IMF Executive Council, the representative of India strongly opposed to providing more financial assistance to Pakistan of the IMF and expressed serious concern about the previous record of Islamabad, saying that the country would use the cash that received bail to increase the border grounds of terrorism. He also said that Pakistan has long been a debtor of IMF and that the implementation and compliance of IMF is very weak. -Ians ABS shares this story tags
