Uttarakhand: Secretary -Gar Kishore has checked arrangements in Kedarnath Dham

Dehradun, April 4 (IANS). Kedarnath Yatra, an important part of Uttarakhand’s Holy Chardham Yatra, will begin from May 2 this year. Lakhs of dedicated from all over the country and abroad are involved in this journey every year to see baby Kedar. This time, the state government and administration began extensive preparations to make the Yatra safe, smooth and successful. In order to finalize the arrangements in the Yatra Marg and Kedarnath Dham, the secretary of the Department of Culture and Language and the Secretary in charge of the Kedarnath Yatra, Yugal Kishore panted an earthly inspection of the area. During the inspection, the couple reached Kishore Pant Kedarnath Temple Complex and took the ongoing reconstruction and beautification works there. With the review of the quality and progress of the construction work, he has given strict instructions that all the work must be completed in time, so that the dedicated do not have to experience the discomfort before the journey begins. In addition, he also investigated Gaurikund’s hiking trail to Kedarnath and ordered the relevant departments to immediately remove the frozen ice on the route. The emphasis was also placed on the rapid removal of frozen ice in the temple site. The administration gives preference to the safety and ease of the dedicated during the journey, and has paid special attention to health services, housing system and route improvement. Officials say that despite snowfall and weather challenges, all preparations will be completed at the scheduled time. This journey is not only important from a religious point of view, but also gives the local economy. The administration intends that the journey this time is more systematic and memorable for dedicated than previous years.
