According to Adnan, April is the period with the largest number of fires in general. There were 16 fires recorded due to other factors, six due to electrical short circuits, and two due to gas stoves. He said the increase in fire cases could be caused by hot weather conditions and a greater community activity before the month of Ramadan. “As the air temperature increases, the risk of fire is also higher. Apart from that, as Ramadan approaches, many cooking activities and the use of electronic devices are increasing,” says Adnan. “Apart from electrical short circuits, gas stoves are also one of the causes of fires that often occur in domestic environments. The highest cases occurred in May and June, with five and three incidents respectively,” he added. For this reason, Adnan Depok residents have reminded to always check gas hoses and regulators and ensure that there are no leaks if they turn on the gas stove. “Most cases occur because the snake is not properly installed, or the safety rubber has become brittle. It’s a small thing, but the impact can be great,” he said. Furthermore, Adnan emphasizes the importance of fire prevention training and training at environmental level. His party is regularly reaching out to increase community readiness. “Prevention is the most important key. We want the public to be the ‘first firefighter’ before the officers arrive,” he emphasized. As a long -term attempt, the Damkar Damkar is also strengthened by expanding the network of fire posts in each sub -district, so that the reaction times of the fire remain under 15 minutes, in accordance with the 2025 minimum service standards (SPM) target. “We hope the community will continue to work with the fire department. The faster fire reports are received, the greater the opportunity to reduce losses,” he concluded. (FAS/FAS)
