The Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji decided the controversy that recently raised about the rumors of her political asylum to France, stressing that these allegations are not related to reality, and that she is currently residing in Egypt, which she described as “gorgeous safe”.

In a lengthy publication on her official account via the “X” platform, Fawakherji completely denied what it was reported about submitting an asylum request to any country, saying: “For those who promote these fabricated conversations, I say it is not me who takes revenge or rumored lying.

The Syrian star emphasized that the decision to establish in Egypt came after years of delay, but she found in this country the warm embrace and support for its artistic career, adding: “Egypt that embraced me from the beginning and presented me with what my country did not offer, it is sufficient for me to love its people to be grateful and proud.”

She also revealed that the UAE offered to reside without her request, and expressed its gratitude for what it described as “the respect and appreciation that artists receive in the Emirates”, praising its role in embracing Arab creators.

Fawakherji sent a message to everyone who expressed his support, saying: “I received invitations from individuals, families and official authorities in various Arab countries to host me and my family, and this is a great pride for me. The doors and hearts are open, and the love of people is the real Sami.”

She concluded her speech by praying to all Arab countries in peace, noting that this stage requires reunification, not more division.
