FISIP Unud says suicidal students and bully perpetrators do not know each other
Jakarta – Deputy Dean III FISIP Unud, I Made Anom Wiranata, said that the perpetrator of the bullying against Udayana University (Unud) student TAS (22) was not the victim’s classmate. Anom said the victim and the perpetrators did not know each other. “Brother T did not die because of bullying. Moreover, the younger siblings before us did not know Brother T. The bullying happened after T fell. It was not from our friends, nor from his classmates. Not at all,” Anom said as reported by detikBali, Saturday (18/10/2025). SCROLL TO CONTINUE CONTENT Anom said TAS committed suicide not because of bullying. He said bullying behavior emerged on social media after the suicide. “Brother T has mental health issues according to his mother. Since middle school, Brother T has received psychological treatment from a counselor. There is therapy,” he said. However, he said, TAS then refused to continue the therapy when he entered university. Anom also appealed to students to be more sensitive and understand that everyone has different ways of dealing with problems. “He has a mental disorder and is unable to bear perhaps all kinds of problems that other people have different ways of dealing with and accepting. We cannot equate Brother Timoti with the rest of society,” he said. Read more here. Also see video: Evil Unud students edit photos of female friends to become immoral with AI (amw/dhn)
