Foreign Ministers of Brics countries expressed concern about Israeli attacks in Gaza

New -Delhi, September 27 (IANS). Foreign Ministers of Brics countries held a meeting on Friday on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). The meeting discussed issues such as political, economic, security and sustainable development in the UN agenda. The Brics countries emphasized these issues and increased participation. Also condemned the Israeli attacks and asked for an immediate and permanent ceasefire. Foreign ministers have repeated their dedication to maintaining multilateralism, multi -folness and international law. Brics countries ministers have repeated their dedication to participating in global decision-making processes from developing countries as well as emerging markets and less developed countries. During this period, the emphasis was on promoting human rights and fundamental freedom, safety and cooperation under the principle of equality. The Brics ministers have repeated the commitment to strengthen multilateral cooperation to deal with humanitarian crises in the meeting. In addition, there was a strong condemnation of low international reactions and violations of international human rights. At the meeting, the leaders of Brics countries emphasized the full implementation and progress of peace and security agenda, together with the promotion of the rights and leadership of women. Developing countries such as Indonesia, India, Brazil and South Africa were also appreciated from 2022 to 2025. In addition, he appreciated the inclusion of the Africa Union during India’s G20 in 2023 and the NDB during the chairman of Brazil and South Africa to strengthen the voice of EMDC in G20 by invitation. During the meeting, the attacks carried out by Israel were condemned. Foreign ministers condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar. He says it is a serious violation of international law, including Qatar’s sovereignty and the United Nations Charter. He said these attacks are a threat to regional and international peace and security. He also mentioned the debate on September 16, 2025 in the 60th session of the Human Rights Council about the armed attack on Qatar over the armed attack on Qatar. He once again expressed his dedication to maintaining the rule of law, human rights, peace and security. The ministers expressed concern about the Israeli attacks in Gaza, Palestine. He appreciated India for holding a meeting of Brics Ministers of Foreign Affairs during the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
