In Uttar Pradesh, the anti -terrorist group (ATS) on Monday arrested four members of the ‘Mujahideen Army’ from separate districts and conducted a major safety action. The ATS claimed that the arrested people worked under an organized scheme, which aims to blaspheme the democratic system in the country and implement the Sharia system. According to officials, the preliminary investigation revealed that the accused had planned to destroy the democratic government elected by violent Jihad, influenced by Radical Pakistani organizations and the Sharia Act on the strength of the weapons. The ATS says that these people in different districts were active and that evidence is being investigated with regard to the recruitment, inspiration and possible activities of the organization. The ATS said in a statement after the arrest that the form and operation of the accused organization is a serious concern. Officials said more aspects of the case will be revealed by investigating the continued investigation and coordination after the arrest and further steps will be taken in collaboration with other agencies where necessary. Police resources said the interrogation of the arrested four accused is underway and that their background, contact list and connection with alleged radical organizations are being investigated. The ATS claimed that these people spread the ideology at the local level through the speech and publicity and plot to give rise to violent events. The case that takes the case seriously has the state police and ATS increased security awareness. Officials said gasoline and monitoring in public places, religious places and sensitive areas have been tightened to prevent any unforeseen incident. At the same time, the public was also requested to immediately notify the nearest police station or ATS if they have information about any suspicious activity.
