CM Yogi's big announcement, UP, will soon get its second Elephant Reserve Park!

Uttar Pradesh News Desk !! The Uttar Pradesh government has issued a notice for the state’s second elephant reserve, Terai Elephant Reserve (ter), which will be built at 3,072 square kilometers of land that will be distributed in four districts. The project was theoretically approved by the center’s project elephant. Ter will be distributed in Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Pilibhit and Shahjahanpur. It contains Dudhwa Tiger Reserve (DTR), Pilibhit Tiger Reserve (PTR) and Gola and Mohammadi series of the South Kheri bush division. It will be about four times larger than the first Elephant Reserve, Shivalik Elephant Reserve, which was distributed to Bijnor and Saharanpur. Ter is the eighth largest elephant reserve in terms of area in the country. Ter will also get funds under Project Elephant as a result of an Elephant Reserve. DTR’s director Sanjay Pathak said it would help remove the issues of farmers such as crop loss due to elephants. It will also be possible to manage the existing population recovery and maintenance of wildlife corridors used by Jumbo between Nepal and India, help keep the elephants in the prisoner and to better handle the human struggle. Dudhwa only had an elephant population a few years ago. Most of them wandered around and outside Nepal until they moved to stay back in the Terai region. They first went out during the monsoon and returned later. According to the census of 2020, there were about 149 elephants in Dudhwa, which increased to about 175. It also increased elephants and human conflicts. The officer said the establishment of the elephant reserve would help solve the fight. Since other parts identified for DTR, PTR and for are already preserved, it will not require land acquisition or other activities that affect people living in this area. -Ians Lucknow News Desk !!!
