In Bihar, a case of cyber fraud came to light from the accounts of the Fino payment bank in which criminals withdrew more than Rs 5.58 crore out of 251 accounts in 17 districts through fingerprint and aadhaar cloning. The bank manager filed a case in the Economic Offensce Unit (EOU), after which the investigation began. State Bureau, Patna. In Bihar, a large case of cyber fraud came to light from private bank accounts. Criminals doubled an amount of Rs Five Crore 58 Lakh 46 thousand 844 out of 251 accounts of 17 districts of Fino Payment Bank by cloning fingerprints and aadhair. In this case, the bank manager has filed a fir in the Bihar police Economic Missions Unit (EOU). With a view to the case, the EOU began investigating. Private bank manager Manish Roshan also filed a complaint online in the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP). After this, a recovery of about 38 lakh 87 thousand rupees was made. According to the information, the complaint of most fraud was caught in Fino Payment Bank in the Araria district. Cyber criminals have withdrawn more than three crore out of 140 bank accounts here. The withdrawal by cloning followed 49 complaints in Purnia and 25 in Kishanganj. Apart from this, Bhagalpur, East Champaran, Gaya, Gopalganj, Jamui, Katihar, Khagaria, Lakhisarai, Madhepura, Munger, Nawada, Patna, Supaul and West Champaran are also withdrawn by the funds by clone from accounts. Actually, Fino Payment Bank Facilities in Towns offers through Aadhaar Payment System. For this, trade units are appointed in towns. Villagers who join these business units deposit and withdraw money through biometric or basic verification. The bank claims that criminals with the help of false documents withdrew money from accounts by cloning Aadhaar and biometric.
