Freeport team evacuation 3 bodies of workers trapped by landslides, the search continues
Jakarta – The Emergency Response team of PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) found three bodies of workers and evacuated from the location of the incident of the wet material at the Grasberg Block Cave (GBC) underground mines. Rescue efforts on victims continue. From a written statement, Sunday (5/10/2025), workers were found in another duration, about 12.00 CET found 1 worker and about 16.53 CET found two workers. Furthermore, the medical team and the policy team performed the process of identification with caution. From the process it is known that the workers found about 12.00 CET, the brother of Victor Bastida Ballesteros, a citizen of the Republic of Chile who is an employee of Pt Redpath Indonesia. While the two workers are found with the identification process at about 4:53 pm.
