Bihar meeting Session: Tejashwi Yadav raised Sir's issue again, said: "The right to vote of the poor"

During the monsoon session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, the house was re -heated with Sir. The leader of the opposition Tejashwi Yadav, while demanding a strong debate on the issue, said that the right to vote from the poor, backward and disadvantaged divisions through the process of Sir is taken away. Tejashwi Yadav said in the house: “The names of millions of poor and Dalites are removed from the voter list under the guise of the sir process. It is against democracy. We are repeatedly discussing about it, but the government avoids the answer.” He questions whether the process of the Electoral Commission is influenced by political purposes? Is the participation of the poor deliberately stopped? Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary’s reply, while responding to the allegations of Tejashwi Yadav, on behalf of the Bihar government, said Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary that the SIR process is underway in a transparent and fair way. “We want to make it clear that no correct Bihar citizen will be missed in this process. All qualified voters will be included in the list. There will be no discrimination with anyone.” He said there was no power in the allegations made by Tejashwi Yadav. The government has given instructions to the officials concerned to monitor the entire process. The conflict between the verdict and the opposition about the stir Sir in political circles is constantly increasing. If the opposition sees it as an attack on the right of voting of the poor, the government calls it a regular administrative proceedings. Now it will be interesting to see if this issue becomes a major election issue of Bihar’s politics in the coming days. Share this story -tags
