Plane Passenger Shocked by Fellow Traveler’s ‘Act of Savagery’ in Airport Lounge Before Flight – ryan

A plane passenger is opening up about a recent travel experience that left them appalled.

The passenger went into detail on the incident in a retelling of the tale, titled “Who Knew the Sky Club Did Take Out?”shared to Reddit’s r/delta forum. Under the username @AbilityFunny1412, the passenger began with a disclaimer about their love for the Delta Sky Club Lounge.

“Let me be the first to say that on many occasions, I have snagged a Starbucks cup full of Ivar’s clam chowder, the spicy snack mix (remember that? BTW, does anyone have a link for that on Amazon?), or even an apple blossom when I only had a few minutes to stop at the Sky Club before a flight,” writes the passenger.

While they make sure to take advantage of the lounge’s perks whenever they can, they claim another passenger took the freebies too far.

“While this fellow, apparently raised by wolves, was still eating, I saw him pack up at least 3 PLATES (yes, we have paper) full of food and put them in his plastic shopping bag,” they continued. “I wanted to get a pic of the situation, but it’s not cool to post people‘s pics.”

The passenger then recalls how the other traveler stood up to get some more food, which gave them the opportunity to take a quick photo of the scene and get a better look at his plate.

“As if on cue, he got up to grab some…wait for it…bananas, so I quickly snapped a pic of his food haul. Dude has a penchant for St. Louis ribs and garlic chicken, not to mention sides and chocolate chip cookies.”

In the photo included in the original post, a plate of food can be seen resting on a chair while the plastic bag filled with more snacks sits beside it.

The OP (original poster) adds, “This is no doubt the same guy who picks all of the shrimp out of the alfredo and led to the demise of the monthly free bartender’s special that I miss so. Perhaps we should start an anonymous tip line for such acts of savagery.”

Per the Delta Sky Club official website, the airline encourages members to take advantage of their many perks, including “complimentary cocktails, fresh and healthy food options, free high-speed Wi-Fi and more.”

In the comments section, many of the passenger’s fellow Reddit users frowned upon the act, while others found humor in the situation.

“I always grab something portable like a muffin and a couple waters, but that’s it. Packing half the buffet is so not cool,” one wrote.

Another added, “His seatmates are gonna hate him lol,” to which a different user responded, “Or love him if he hands out the plates? …yeah, you right, either way, they hating him.”

In another comment, one user shared a similar experience, but the passengers they witnessed at the buffet took the free food perk to a whole different level.

“I’ve seen folks use the business privacy booths in the back as packing zones. Fill up a plate, disappear into an isolation booth, and transfer the food into a travel container. Maximizing the Sky Club experience.”

Meanwhile, others asked the OP to look at the situation from a different perspective.

“Not condoning, but possible he was bringing food for family/friends not in the club? No good deed goes unpunished,” one questioned.

Another wrote, “Just worry about yourself. Ignore others,” followed by a different comment that read, “How does this concern you? I’m just trying to understand.
