Commissioner Roshan Jacob has given instructions to register an FIR on the manufacture and sale of adulterated food items. It has been made compulsory to put food safety stickers on establishments, so that consumers can lodge complaints on the spot. Food safety vans will be available to check adulteration. Now preparations are once again being made to take strict action against the adulterers. According to FSDA officials, many such networks were detected in the special operation that lasted from October 8 to 17. It is being investigated. If any irregularities are found, strict action will be taken. On the other hand, the Commissioner said that if any deficiency is found at the institution during the inspection, a notice will be given. If there is no improvement, the license will be suspended and action will be taken under sections of the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. He gave instructions to compulsorily install food safety stickers on all establishments selling food items. On this sticker, information about the name of the shop, mobile number, toll-free number of FSDA and QR code of Food Safety Connect application will also have to be given. As a result, any consumer will be able to register his complaint on the spot. Roshan Jacob said that even after the special campaign, the investigation into adulteration in food items will continue. Officials were instructed not to conduct unnecessary inspections or take samples. So that there is no inconvenience to businessmen and the public. Apart from this, if harassment is repeatedly done by taking samples from small businesses or vendors, the liability of the officer will be established. Everyone has been instructed not to leave headquarters and to be ready for immediate action if information or complaints about adulterated food are received. Get the adulteration through the Food Safety Van. Anyone can spot the adulteration in food items like khoya, cheese, milk etc. by the Food Safety Van of FSDA. It will be available in divisional headquarters and main markets of major districts. Joint Food Safety Commissioner Harishankar Singh said that FSDA has 36 food safety vans. Of these, 18 are available for testing at all divisional headquarters. Apart from this, 18 others have been deployed in the main markets of major districts.
