Laughter As Goldendoodle Taken to Friend’s House—Then Realizes It’s Bedtime – ryan
A video of a dog getting “comfortable” for bedtime at someone else’s home has gone viral on TikTok.
The moment was captured in a video posted by @capethedoodthe TikTok account of a dog called Cape, who is a goldendoodle—a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle—according to the poster’s TikTok profile. The video has garnered 678,000 views since it was posted on March 31.
A caption overlaid on the video says: “Took him to a friend’s house and it was bedtime for him so he went to make himself comfortable.”
The clip begins with a view outside a bedroom, before the camera heads inside to find the goldendoodle sitting up on the bed, comfy under a portion of the duvet blanket.
The dog stares blankly at the camera, as a caption shared with the post reads: “He’s like I don’t see no problem.”
The pup’s eagerness to get to bed is unsurprising as canine companions can spend as much as around half of their days asleep.
Most dogs have two windows of “activity peaks” during the day, noted a study by researchers at North Carolina State University published in December 2020 in Scientific Reports.
One is from around 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while another is a longer active period from about 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. All dogs were found to be more active during the weekends than weekdays, the study said.
‘Tuck Me In Already’
TikTok users were delighted by the dog’s adorable bedtime antics in the viral clip.
LauraBell noted: “He said I got a schedule to keep. Tuck me in already!”
Angela wrote: “As he should…his sleeping schedule should NEVER be interrupted. Please remove his harness so he is comfortable.”
Lilblue23 said: “He’s overpeopled and tired. Every introvert human understands this.”
Saraz1490 said the pup was like “that random kid sleeping in someone’s room at a party.”
User @februaryrainbows noted: “He’s looking like ‘ya’ll coming to bed or nah’.”
Monica Turner said: “He’s not rude! Turn off the light, tuck him in and close the door behind ya!”
User gaiya565656 noted: “He is the cutest dog. I hope he was allowed to sleep there. Not his fault the parents didn’t have him home early.”
Newsweek has contacted the original poster for comment via TikTok. This video has not been independently verified.
