Odisha: Congress Mla Sagar Das accused BJP of killing democracy

Bhubaneswar, September 24 (IANS). The congress, Sagar Das, responded to the protests of the MLAs of Congress in the Odisha Legislative Assembly on the growing atrocities against women. During a special conversation with Ians, Sagar Das claimed that it was our right to raise people’s issues in the house, but the BJP made a habit of disagreeing. When we protested in the meeting today about the safety of women, the speaker did not postpone the proceedings of the house. But when the BJD took place for five days a protest march, the proceedings of the house were postponed within a minute. This highlights the internal Nexus between the BJP and the BJD. He further stated that Congress’s gene relationship movement was wrong for the second time. He further said: “The government has no respect for the rules. Either they are deceived or the processes are misinterpreted to avoid debate. The home has not functioned properly for more than 13 months and is ignored public issues.” Das has accused the ruling and opposition parties of not being united on shared issues. He said: “Whether it is the safety of women, the concern of the Boers or unemployment, Congress has always raised its voice. Unlike the BJD and the BJP, our position is clear that we will continue to fight for women, youth, students and marginalized people.
