Jakarta -Member of the DPR RI of the Gerindra Party fraction Novita Wijayanti attended and inaugurated Pancimas Maju Jelita’s suspension bridge, in Ujung Gagak Village, Kampung Laut district, Cilacap Regency. Novita revealed that she was asked by residents for help by Cilacap DPRD member Suheri and Central -Java Province DPRD -Member David Ishaq Aryadi to fight for the badly damaged budget. “I received aspirations from the community transferred by Mr. Suheri and Mr. David Ishaq. The condition of the damaged bridge at that time was very worrying,” Novita said in a written statement on Monday (13/10/2025). Browse to continue the content “As a result, we work with the Ministry of Public Works so that the construction of this bridge can be realized immediately,” he continued. This inauguration was an important moment for locals, considering that the old bridge was previously the only access to residents to schools and daily activity centers, so badly damaged that it became viral on social media. In fact, the condition of the bridge previously meant that children in Ujung Gagak Village could not go to school because access to transport was cut off. Novita added that the construction of suspension bridges as in Ujung Gagak is a concrete form of the government’s attention to fair infrastructure development, especially in rural and remote areas. “Cilacap is the second largest district in Central -Java with a high population density. So infrastructure support, such as suspension bridges, is very important to facilitate the mobility of the community, including schoolchildren, farmers and fishermen,” Novita said. Novita hopes that the Pancimas Maju Jelita Hant Bridge can become a new symbol of the spirit of togetherness of the Ujung Gagak community in the development of their region. “With the establishment of this bridge, the community hopes that economic and educational activities in the Kampung Laut area can run smoothly and open access to better wealth,” he concluded.
