Himachal Pradesh: Regional Seminar on Natural Farming in Jhanduta

Bilaspur, June 4 (IANS). A regional seminar is organized under “Natural Farming Khushal Kisan Abhiyan” in Janduta in the Bilaspur district Himachal Pradesh. The event was attended by Governor Acharya Devvrat of Gujarat as main gas, while former chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jairam Thakur, serves the program. Rajesh Dharmani, Minister of Technical Education in Himachal Pradesh, participated as a special guest. Thousands of Punjab farmers, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and the country participated in the seminar doing natural farming. Janduta Mla Jitaram Katwal and Bilaspur Mla Trilok Jamwal were also present at the event. The event was organized under the joint Aegis of Sai Internal Foundation, Shimla and the Institute for Human Development Kalol Jhanduta. Prior to the start of the program, Acharya Devvrat, Gujarat Gujarat, took the honorer. After this, the Boers welcomed him strongly. An exhibition of natural farming products was also arranged at the venue inspected by the governor. The seminar begins with the lighting of the lamp. During this, Janduta Mla Jitram Katwal, Sai International Foundation and officials of the Human Development Institute, Governor Acharya Devvrat, former chief minister Jairam Thakur and Minister Rajesh Dhermani, honored by offering copies and souvenirs of Vedas. As he addressed the farmers, Governor Acharya Devrat told the benefits of natural farming. He said this campaign was started from Himachal Pradesh, when Chief Minister Jairam Thakur held a budget of Rs 25 crore for this during the former BJP government. He talked about the spread of this campaign across the country. At the same time, he also appreciates the government of the congress led by the current chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, who continued this campaign. He expressed happiness that both the ruling party and the opposition in Himachal help to make natural farming successful. Former chief minister Jairam Thakur said that Acharya Devvrat started a zero budget of natural farming while he was the governor of Himachal, who is now running in Gujarat. He said that Acharya Devavrata traveled 1200 km and reached Janduta, showing his dedication to this campaign. Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that chemical fertilizers and pesticides worth Rs 2 lakh crore are imported into the country every year.
