The World Health Organization has authorized a simplified version of oral vaccine against cholera, enabling the total production of these vaccines in light of the great spread of the virus in the world. The organization said in a statement that the Euvichol-S vaccine is an Euvichol plus vaccine with fewer ingredients, which allows the production of higher amounts to faster. The organization explained that the rate of the effectiveness of ‘uficol’ is similar to the effectiveness of the most complicated installations, as the South Korean ‘Yoliolodgax’, which previously authorized the organization its values ’Yopkol’ and ‘Yopkol Blash’, produces the production of the new vaccine. “The new vaccine is the third producer of the same cholera family in our pre -rehabilitation list,” says Rogerio Gasbar, head of the World Health Organization and the Rehabilitation Division of the World Health Organization. Jasbar hopes “a rapid increase in production and supplies that many societies need in the light of cholera.” According to the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Impact “Javi” and the “UNICEF” organization, the organization’s approval will help the new vaccine to increase the global shares of 38 million doses in 2023, to approximately 50 million this year, while the fluid vaccine period will reach 24 months. Although the global supplies of cholera vaccines increased by 18 times between 2013 and 2023, this has caused an increasing demand for a global deficit. Currently, 23 countries have reported the outbreak of Cholera, as it recorded the most dangerous effects of the virus in the Comoros and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Somalia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. To deal with this situation, the World Health Organization has recommended to receive a single dose of the vaccine instead of two doses. During the past year, cholera injuries have multiplied around the world, and the organization reported 473 thousand injuries in 2022, twice the registered number in 2021. Initial data indicates that more than 700,000 injuries were recorded last year. Cholera is a disease that spreads by food and water infected with faeces containing the “vibio civila” bacteria, causing diarrhea and vomiting, and it can be dangerous for young children.
