Apart from this, NMC has approved two new medical colleges and hospitals to Bihar. It received permission for nomination at 100 seats of MBBS in Shyamlal Chandrashekhar Medical College and Shaheed Prabhunarayan Multi Speciality Hospital, Parmanandpur, Khagaria, while Mahabodhi Medical College and Hospital, Mahabodhinagar, Gopalpur Sherghati, Gaya. In the academic session 2025-26, there are a total of 1420 seats of MBBS in government hospitals and 1750 seats of MBBS in the Private Medical College.
