Dr. Mohamed Awad Taj Al -Din, Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention, gave birth to Bushra Sarah to the people of Alexandria Governorate, where he confirmed that it will be included in the governorates in which the comprehensive health insurance project will be applied during the second phase of the implementation of the system.
Good news for the people of Alexandria Governorate
The President of the Republic for Health and Prevention affirmed, in press statements that Alexandria Governorate will be included in the governorates in which the comprehensive health insurance project will be applied during the second stage of the implementation of the system, noting that the actual application of the project may start in the governorate hospitals within a year to two years at most.
This came during a discussion symposium, organized by the “Taiba Consulting” company, in the presence of a number of officials and experts in the health sector, which discussed the future of health care in Egypt, and the mechanisms of developing medical infrastructure in line with the state’s plans in generalizing the comprehensive health insurance umbrella.
Taj Al -Din said that “the state is working in an accelerated pace to expand the scope of the application of the system, which is one of the most prominent health reform projects in Egypt and Alexandria Governorate, with its major hospitals and specialized medical centers, which are eligible to join the second stage of the project after completing the technical assessments and required equipment.”
The President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs pointed out that health insurance is not limited to providing medical services only, but also includes a comprehensive development of the infrastructure of hospitals, in addition to raising the efficiency of medical teams, and applying international quality standards to ensure the provision of a health service suitable for all citizens.
This comes in conjunction with the continued implementation of the system in a number of other governorates within the first stage, in which the government made remarkable progress according to official reports, amid praise from international health organizations in the Egyptian health insurance model.
The comprehensive health insurance project aims to cover all Egyptian citizens with integrated health services without financial burdens, within the framework of achieving the goals of sustainable development and the national vision “Egypt 2030”.
