Amendments to the town of Shamlat Land Rules 1964 were approved at the Cabinet meeting held on Sunday chaired by Haryana’s Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini. According to the amendment made in the Ground Rule 6 (2) of the town of Shamlat during the meeting, a provision was made that four percent of the land from the land to be proposed to rent for farming will be reserved for persons with a measure (60 percent or more). Apart from this, Rule 6 (2a) of the town of Shamlat Land Rules 1964 was also amended. According to this, with the aim of setting up a cow sanctuary, provision was made to rent land to the animal husbandry and the dairy section or the Haryana Cow Service Commission for a period of 20 years at a rate of Rs 5100 per acre per year on certain conditions. It is necessary to have 40 percent members in Gram Sabha meetings. Haryana Panchayati Raj (Amendment) Ordinance 2025 was approved during the Cabinet meeting. According to the amendment, the quorum of the Gram Sabha meeting will be held to consider and approve the qualifying beneficiaries of any government scheme, 40 percent of the members of the gram Sabha. The quorum in the first and second adjourned meetings is 30 percent and 20 percent of the gram Sabha members respectively.
