Mumbai, April 18 (IANS). Gopi Sundar, the famous South Indian Cinema music composer, spoke on director Sudhir Attawar’s upcoming film ‘Korgja’. He described the music of the film as a ‘unique experience’ and said that the project gave him the opportunity to create a new genre. Gopi Sundar said: “The theme of Korgajja is so deep and fantastic that it was challenging and satisfying for me to form it. For this project, I had to understand the traditions and cultural depth of the Tulu Nadu region of Karnataka. I took inspiration from them and composed the songs. The film contains a total of 6 songs, composed in many styles and languages. The lyrics of the songs are written by director Sudhir Attawar himself. One special thing is that a special cut is sung by Shankar Mahadevan by mixing the verses of Shiva Tandava Stotra with modern music. The soundtrack of the film also contains the voices of singers such as Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Ali, Swaroop Khan and Arman Malik. Gopi Sundar appreciates the work of director Sudhir Attawar and says: “The way he engraved the soul of the film’s story is far beyond the kingdom of today’s theater.” Director Sudhir Attawar said that the story of ‘Korgja’ is completely different from the movie ‘Kantara’. He reported that about 5,000 gods were worshiped in Karnataka and Kerala regions, while “Kantara” showed only one deity. He received the significant support from executive producer Vidyadhar Shetty in research on this topic. ‘Korgja’ is under the auspices of Trivikram Cinema and Success Films. It is based on Korgja, the reverent deity of the Karwali region (Tulu Nadu), which shows the esoteric and spiritual journey of the ‘Korgja’ form of a tribal youth 800 years ago. The film plays Kabir Bedi, Choreographer Sandeep Soparkar, Ganesh Acharya and South Cinema artists Bhavya, Shruti and other important roles. -Ians mt/abm shares this story -tags
