Gorakhpur News: DDU and TCS New Initiative, 3500 students will get digital training, game changer will be initiative
Last updated: September 20, 2025, 23:25 IST Gorhpur University: Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDU) has started a work -oriented training program for about 3500 students from 32 colleges in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). This initiative is part of the TCS’s youth work program and is designed to make students proficient in communication, logical thinking, computer application and soft skills. Its purpose is to prepare them for the corporate world and make it self -sufficient. Gorakhpur Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University (DDU), along with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), started an important initiative to take students’ career to a new height. Under this partnership, approximately 3500 students from about 32 colleges will receive work -oriented training. This initiative is part of TCS’s youth Rozgar Karyakram, which aims to prepare students according to the needs of the corporate world. The duration of this training is 104 hours and students are taught very important skills. According to DDU’s placement director, Professor Ajay Shukla, this training will focus mainly on the following areas’ communication skills: Effective dialogue and presentation. Logical thinking and quantitative ability: ability to solve problems. Computer app: Digital instruments and technical knowledge. Soft skills: teamwork, leadership and professional attitude. Training will be organized at different colleges at different stages, so that more and more students can utilize it. The university’s vice -chancellor, ready for the digital and corporate world, said that this program will make students not only in academic knowledge, but also in digital skills. Its purpose is to prepare them according to the demands of the corporate world and provide better career options. Professor Poonam Tandon said this initiative will open new possibilities, especially for backward class students. This will make students self -sufficient and able to deal with competition in the digital economy. According to Professor Ajay Shukla, a certificate and career opportunities will get a certificate. In addition, students will also receive additional benefits in the national suitability exams. It will not only reinforce students in studies, but also in the professional world. The direct purpose of this initiative is to provide the students to employ the labor market directly as they complete their studies.
